HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH uses processes and techniques to separate old wood from foreign matter and produce a recyclable product.

Old wood is processed for recycling using a HAMMEL wood processing plant adapted to customer requirements. The old wood is first shredded to a particle size of around 300 mm in the HAMMEL pre-shredder, then passes through the discharge belt under the metal detector, allowing the metal parts to be separated from the rest, and is poured onto a vibrating chute. Here, the material is loosened up and spread out evenly over the sorting belt, to facilitate manual sorting of unwanted elements. The sorted material is poured onto different belts according to size and quality, and sent to the corresponding crates to be made available for later use as raw material.
