For the processing of old wood, HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH uses processes and techniques that separate the wood from foreign materials in order to produce a recyclable product.

The old wood will be processed for recycling with a HAMMEL wood processing plant adapted to customer requirements. The old wood is first crushed to a grain size of about 300 mm in the HAMMEL pre-crusher, it will then pass through the discharge belt under the metal detector which will allow the metal parts to be separated from the rest and will be poured onto a vibrating chute. There, the material will be loosened and spread evenly on the sorting belt so that manual sorting of unwanted elements is facilitated. The sorted material will be poured onto different belts according to size and quality and sent to the corresponding boxes in order to be made available for further use as raw material.
